Khal Drogo

Now let’s know who is Khal Drogo, but opps, even though he would no longer appear in this season we really have to know who he is in the land of Westeros and in the life of Daenerys. Khal Drogo is a powerful Dothraki warlord. Drogo accepts that offer in exchange of princess Daenerys to be her wife. Soon, Daenerys got pregnant and their child was prophesize by the Dothrakin to be the conqueror that will unite the world. Meanwhile, Visery notes that the measurement lengthwise of Drogo’s braids Dothraki contain to cuting off their hair as soon as they are overwhelmed to their enemies, further than Drogo's we see that the long hair shows that he has not at all been beaten in battlefield. Viserys states that Drogo is a savage one except that also he is individual of the supreme killers exist. As his journey begins, Drogo suffers an infected wound which forces Daenerys to seek help of the healer Mirri Maz Duur to save his life using blood magic. But Mirri tricks Daenerys by using her unborn son's life as a sacrifice to heal Drogo which leaves him a permanent catatonic state, forcing Daenerys to end his life. 1. Eddard Stark

Eddard Stark known as the Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North, becomes the Hand of the King after Lord Jon Arryn's death. Arya Stark

Meet and greet Arya Stark one of the major character in Game of Thrones. Her role is played by Maisie Williams. Eddard "Ned" Stark

As he investigating the cause of death of Lord Jon Arryn, he discovered that all of three Robert's children with Queen Cersei's were fathered by Cersei's twin brother Jaime. 

The great role as Eddard Stark was portrayed by no other than Sean Bean, an English veteran stage and screen actor. He is also known for his unforgettable role as Boromir in the The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Anyway have you seen his poster sitting on the magical Iron Throne, holding his great sword? Well, that poster was used as promotional posters and a cover of the first season’s DVD box set as well as the cover of a tie-in reedition of the novel A Game of Thrones. Less than a month from now we will be able to witness the much anticipated and much awaited series of todays generation. I am talking about the fantasy drama series bled with medieval style “Game of Thrones”. On the exact date on April 1, 2012, the hunger and struggling game will start as the second season of Game of Thrones will about to begin. Today we will going to know all about the Great Houses of Westeros. 1. House Arryn. With the motto “As High As Honor” and a white falcon and moon against a dark blue field as its sigil, this house is the oldest and purest line if the Andal nobility and has ruled over the Vale for millennia. House Arryn also known as the Warden of the East has a castle that sits atop a mountain in the beautiful and enchanting Eyrie. The head of this house is Jon Arynn, his wife (Lady Lysa Tully) is actually the sister of Lady Catelyn of House Stark. Jon and Lysa has a one child, a boy named Robert Arynn. Jon met his demise when he was the King’s Hand. It is believed that the Lannisters are responsible for his sudden death.

2. House Baratheon. This house became the ruling house of Westeros after the death of The Mad King which also lead to the crowning of Robert Baratheon as the King of The Seven Kingdoms. House Baratheon’s family sigil is a black stag on a golden field as is known for the motto “Ours is the Fury”. 

3. House Greyjoy  known for the motto of “We Do Not Sow”.  This house is located in the Western coast of Westeros making them the ruler of the Iron Island and Iron born. House Greyjoy is represented by their sigil which is a golden kraken against a black field.

4. House Lannister of Casterly Rock, Known as the house with the most number of warriors and wealth, they are known for the motto “Hear Me Roar”. This family is known not only with their wealth and power but is also known for being solid with each other and each member of the Lannister family are noted to be blonde, beautiful and deadly as well. To those who don’t know yet, Jamie Lannister is the one of killed the Targaryen king. A golden lion against a crimson field is House Lannister’s sigil.

5. House Martell located on the peninsular of Dorne is known for  a golden sun pierced by a spear as a sigil and is known for the motto “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken”. Standing firm to their motto, House Martell is the only house of Westeros which quiete successfully refused the Targaryen invasion. But after a marriage alliance was formed with House Targaryen, geez, it is what you think it is. Keep an eye on this house cause in the days to come, Prince Maron Martell will marry the sole survivor of House Targaryen.

6. House Stark of the North, this house is represented by a grey Direwolf on a field of white sigil.

They’re from the impressive lineage of the First Men or the first human to ever step foot in the lands of Westeros, give way cause “Winter Is Coming”, that’s the motto to remember when talking about. 

7. House Tully, “Family, Duty,  Honor” this house has been the ruler of the Riverlands for centuries. The head of the house is Lord Hoster Tully, father of Catelyn and Lysa Tully who are married to the powerful Starks and Arryns. 

8. House Tyrell, the ruling family of the Reach.  “Growing Strong” is their motto. Named as the Warden of the South and lead by Lord Mace Tyrell, the castle of this prominent house lies in High garden. This family will try their luck on getting closer to the Iron Throne by attempting to arrange a marriage between King Joffry Baratheon and Margaery Tyrell.

10. And lastly the House Targaryen of Dragonstone, for 300 years, House Targaryen controlled the Iron Throne, their 300 years of reign ended after Robert Baratheon’s rebellion. But mind you, the sole survivor of this family, Daenerys Targaryen will try her best to reclaim the Iron Throne. Join her when she raises the Targadyen sigil of three-headed red dragons agaisnt a black field. When that day comes, hear Dany says their family motto “Fire and Blood”.

Daenerys is at first afraid of her new husband but after learning the Dothraki language, she manages to get past the language barrier to understand him and genuinely falls in love him after learning Drogo is smart leader and a kind man. 

As the years pass by, she embraces the Dothrakis culture. She later becomes pregnant with Drogo and their son was prophesies by the Dothraki to be the conqueror who will unite the world. Drogo promised to her that he will conquer the Seven Kingdoms for her and their unborn son after assassin was sent by King Robert. He is surrounded by plot ters and sycophants, and trapped in a political marriage to the scheming Cersei Lannister, who he was never inloved. He is unaware that all of his three children are not his, but Jaime Lannister's. Under his reign, the realm has been bankrupted, and Robert is deeply in debt to his wife's family. He was killed while hunting, he unknowingly leaves no rightful heir behind.

And with regards to his search for an army to reclaim the throne, he exchange his sister Daenerys to marries off the powerful Dothraki, the war lord Khal Drogo and follows his horde's journey to the Dothraki capital to ensure Drogo will keep his end of the bargain. 

The journey began; but it becomes the evident that Viserys skills as a leader is not suitable to reclaim the throne.His arrogance and disrespect for the Dothraki does not win him any hearts. Furthermore, Daenerys, who he has always threatened throughout his life, starts to stand up of to him. Realizing that Daenerys is loved by the Dothraki and her's and Drogo's unborn son is prophesize to unite the world, Viserys realize it is not him but Daenerys that will reclaim the Iron Throne. So he use that thing by threatens Drogo to give him his army now or he will kill his unborn son. Two other continents that share the world in which Westeros resides are Essos, a vast continent, lies in the east across the Narrow Sea, and Sothoros, south east of Westeros across the Summer Sea. The Iron Islands 

The Iron Islands are a group of seven islands, lying off the western coast of Westeros in Ironman's Bay. The Iron Islands contain seven notable islands, including Pyke, Great Wyk, Old Wyk, and Harlaw, lying off the western coast of the continent. The inhabitants of these harsh isles are known as Ironmen in the rest of Westeros, 'The Ironborn' amongst themselves. They are ruled by House Greyjoy of Pyke, chosen to rule the Ironmen after Black Harren's line was extinguished during the Conquest.

The Riverlands

The Riverlands are the fertile areas between the forks of the Trident. They are the domain of the Tullys of Riverrun. At the time of the conquest, the Riverlands were ruled by House Hoare of the Iron Islands, and thus the Tullys were never kings of the Riverlands, but were rebel riverlords who left Harren the Black in favor of Aegon the Conqueror. Bastards in the Riverlands are given the surname Rivers.
